We the Students of Salem Chapter of ICSI and Member of SACS - Salem have organized 28^th Students meet on 24^th June, 2012.

There was a pleasant morning on the Sunday. Students have participated in the meet.

The meeting started with Tamil Thai Valthu. Followed by Welcome address given by Ms N.Nandhini (FP).

The first session was an seminar on “Know your Institute” and June 2012 Exam by Mr. M.Harish (PP)

The second session was Quiz Programme conducted for students of ICSI.

Ms. G. Dhanalakshmi (EP) read out the brief report about the minutes of previous meet.

After that Mr. R.M.Verappan gave a seminar on “Do’s & Dont’s” on CS Exam he clearly explained the way to approach the exam.

In the second session Mr. Sree Raman gave exam tips, it was very useful for students appearing in the upcoming exam.

Ms. U. Prashanthi (EP) gave away vote of thanks.

The meet was concluded with NATIONAL ANTHEM.

The meeting started with Tamil Thai Valthu. Followed by Welcome address given by Mr. S. Shankar (EP).

Mr. Rajesh (EP) read out the brief report about the minutes of previous meet.

After that Ms. S. Vijiyasri (EP) gave a seminar on “FINANCIAL INCLUSION” she clearly specified all the points regarding that.

In the second session a Non Verbal Communication game was conducted by splitting the students into many teams.

 Mr. Kathiravan (EP) gave away vote of thanks.

The meet was concluded with NATIONAL ANTHEM.

Report of 25th Students Association Meet on 5^th February 2012

We the Students of Salem Chapter of ICSI and member of SACS - Salem have organized 25th Students meet on 5^th, February 2012.

There was a pleasant morning on the Sunday. Students have participated in the meet.

The meeting started with Tamil Thai Valthu. Followed by Welcome address given by Ms. Srividhya (EP).

Mr. M. Harish read out the consolidated report of all the last meetings of SACS Salem.

The winners of paper presentation made their presentation before all the students and our chapters office bearers.

The winners are

                          2. Mr. Amarnath (EP)

Mr. Senthil Kumar made his presentation on FDI in retail sector and Mr.Amarnath made his presentation on share holder’s democracy.

The next event Debate was conducted between the students on topic is FDI good for our country?

It was like a fight between the Blasting Bulls and Courageous Cows both of them made an equal clash among them.

Title: Do’s and Don’ts in CS Examination

There was a pleasant morning on the Sunday.

The meeting started with Tamil Thai Valthu.

Welcome address given by Ms. I. Monica (FP) and welcome the faculty CA RM. Veerappan, Practising Chartered Accountant & Visiting faculty of Erode Branch and Salem Branch of CA Institutes.

Ms. Amrutha (FP) read out the brief report about the minutes of previous meet.

CA RM.Verrappan made speech about Do’s and Don’ts in Company Secretaries Examination; he clearly pointed out the mistakes usually committed by the students and gave tips to overcome the mistakes done by the students in Exam hall and in answer sheet.

Ms. A.Kanchana (EP) gave away vote of thanks.

The meet was concluded with NATIONAL ANTHEM.

Mr. R. Kathiravan (EP) gave much information about the recent amendments in Corporate Law which was much useful to students.

Ms. I. Elakiya (FP) gave a seminar on “COMPANY LAW” he clearly specified all the points regarding that.

Then students conducted Corporate Games. There is a good participation from all students.

After that Mr. K.M.Santhanakumar (EP) gave a seminar on “TYPES OF SHARES” he clearly specified all the points regarding that.

In the second session Debate on LLP VS COMPANY was conducted many current data’s and the advantages and disadvantages regarding the topic  were discussed by the students.

The Second activity was given Mock Annual General Meeting by the students. All students gave an effective participation in the Mock AGM.

Ms M.Sri Vidya explained about group discussion.The topics covered under group discussion are 1.Effects of Advertisement 2.Black Money 3.Pollution 4.Incorporation of  Company.Students discussed the above topics

Mr. N. Nagakumar gave seminar on the topic “Central Excise Act 1944 “, it was an excellent one.

Mr. M. Harish was elected as chairman and Ms M. Sri Vidya was elected as treasurer of SACS-Salem

CS Santhanam, Secretary of Salem Chapter of ICSI gave his general view about Central Excise Act 1944 and apart from that he encouraged the students to participate in seminars and to develop their talents and skills.

The Second Seminar was given by Mr. Kathiravan (EP) on general topic “Share Trading Tips”, it was useful for fresher’s and he gave a clear view about pay attention to intraday trading activities on shares.

Mr. Vijayanand (PP) gave seminar on the topic “Inter Corporate Loans “, it was an excellent presentation, he explained the topic in clear cut manner which will be useful for upcoming CS exams.

The Second seminar given by Mrs. Vimala (EP) on the topic “General view on Stock Exchange” it exhibits the general view about how stock exchanges carry out their work under the SEBI Act, 1992.

We the Student of Salem Chapter of ICSI and proud member of SACS-SALEM have organized the 13^th Student Association meet on 6^th March, 2011.

There was a pleasant morning on the Sunday. Students have participated in the meet.

The meeting started with Tamil Thai Valthu. Followed by, Ms. Ellakiya, Foundation Programme Student proposed a Welcome address to CS Santhanam, Secretary of Salem Chapter of ICSI and Student Association (SACS) members.

Mr. Sathis Venkatesh, Executive Programme Student read out the brief report about Association Proceedings and Minutes of Previous Meet.

Ms. Kokila Rani, Executive Programme Student gave seminar on the topic “Corporate Governance “, it was an excellent one. Ms. Sri Vidhya, Executive Programme Student gave another seminar on the topic “Communication & Memory Technic” in which she gave general view about how communicate with corporate peoples and how to behave in corporate world.

CS Santhanam, Secretary of Salem Chapter of ICSI gave his general view about Corporate Governance and apart from that he encouraged the students to participate in seminars and to develop their talents and skills.

Report on 12th Student Association Meet

Salem Chapter of SIRC of ICSI organized quiz competition on 19^th Feb 2011 at 05.30 p.m at diamond rays nursery school, fairlands, Salem. The Chairman of Salem Chapter of ICSI CS. SOLAIAPPAN inaugurates the event. 6 teams of 3 members per team respectively participated.

CWA. Shankar, Mr. Aruncahalam, M.C.S, CA. Sri Saranya anchored the event. The topics included subjects from foundation programme. Executive programme, General awareness, stock market, Information about Corporate Giants, Books and Authors etc.

There was a neck tight competition between “Team E” and “Team F” and “Team F” won at least with a marginal difference of 235 score. The winning team was awarded “BARE ACT of Registration Act” and the runners up were awarded. Participation certificates were awarded to all the participants as a mark of encouragements. High – Tea was served.

The meeting started with Tamil Thai Valthu. Followed by, Ms. Kokila Rani, Executive Programme Student proposed a Welcome address to CS Santhanam, Secretary of Salem Chapter of ICSI and Student Association (SACS) members.

First session started with Mr. K.Harish Kumar, Executive Programme Student, gave seminar on “Money Laundering “, it was an excellent one.

The Second session followed by Mr. Nagakumar, Executive Programme Student, present a paper on “Interpretation of statutes” in which he gave general view about how to interpret a Statute in literal and logical way.

Chief Guest Sri. Santhanam, Secretary of Salem Chapter of ICSI, gave his general view about the Money Laundering and Interpretation of statutes and congratulated the participants who took over the seminar.

We the Students of Salem Chapter of SIRC of ICSI and proud members of SACS-SALEM have organised the 10^th Student’s Association Meet on 23^rd January, 2011.

There was a bright turn out on the Sunday. Students actively participated in the meet.

The Meeting starts with a Proud Tamil Thai Valthu. Followed by, Mr. Jayanthar, Executive Programme Student proposed a Welcome address to CS Santhanam N, Secretary of Salem Chapter of SIRC of ICSI and Student’s Association (SACS) Members.

Mr. Solaiyappan, Foundation Programme Student read out the brief report about Association Proceedings and Minutes of Previous Meet.

First session started with Mr. Nagakumar N, Executive Programme Student, he presented a seminar on “Law of Evidence”. It was as mind blowing and charming to hear, Students have got cleared their doubts.

The second session followed by Mr. Harish, Executive Programme Student, presented a paper on “Introduction to Service Tax”. He clearly specifies the valuable points and the important aspects which would be useful for the examinations.

Chief Guest Sri. Santhanam, Secretary of Salem Chapter of SIRC of ICSI, elaborately discussed about the seminar and congratulated the participants who took over the seminar.

Report of SACS - Salem on 02nd May, 2010

The Salem Chapter of ICSI and Members of SACS-SALEM have organized the Association meet on 02nd May, 2010 in Topic of Do’s and Don’ts in Examination point of view. Around 25 students attended the program.

The meeting started at 11. 00 AM with a prayer song by Mr. Arunachalam (PP), Secretary, SACS-Salem. The prayer song was followed by a welcome address by Mr. PL. Manickam (PP), Chairman of SACS-Salem. He welcomed CS N Santhanam, Secretary of Salem Chapter, Chief Guest CA. RM Veerappan and CS Boopalan, JSW steels, Salem.

Mr. Thulasi, Executive Programme, Student of ICSI read out the previous Students Meet held on 04th April, 2010.

Mr. CA RM. Veerappan, Practising Chartered Accountant & Visiting faculty of Erode Branch and Salem Branch of CA Institutes dealt the session

CA RM. Veerappan started off with Do’s and Don’ts in Examination view by pointed out the some of the students mistakes in answer sheets and in examination hall and he gave some tips to students like carrying calculator for all the exams, water bottle and mention the Question Numbers properly in the answer sheet etc., He discussed about the frequent mistakes done by the students in the previous examinations when writing the case laws and explained how to prepare for professional courses and also help the students for examination preparation.

He commenced his session after thanking Salem Chapter of ICSI and SACS – Salem for the initiative on the Monthly program & for inviting him to take up the session.

CS Boopalan delivered a special address about the topic and gave memorable ideas to students who are appearing for June 2010 Examination.

There was good interaction and the Students Queries duly answered by Chief Guest.

The meet was concluded with National Anthem at 2.10 PM.
