Objective:


This course is mainly intended for the Professional Programme Students appearing in the June 2011 examination. The paper on Advanced Tax Laws and Practice has 13 chapters (both direct and indirect taxation). Students require proper exposure to the subject and in particular to the tools and techniques employed therein. The course would be highly focused to deal with the subject strictly from the examina

tion point of view.


Methodology:


The course will be a combination of lecture and class room exercise, so as to give the students required level of confidence to face the examination boldly.


Fee:

Report on 15th Students Association Meet

Report on 15th Students Association meet on 3rd April 2011

We the Students of Salem Chapter of ICSI and member of SACS - Salem have organized 15th Students meet on April 3rd 2011.

There was a pleasant morning on the Sunday. Students have participated in the meet.

The meeting started with Tamil Thai Valthu. Followed by Welcome address given by Mr. S. Shankar (EP), Special address given by CS Santhanam sir, Secretary of Salem Chapter of ICSI.

Mrs. V. Vimala (EP) read out the brief report about association and minutes of previous meet.

Miss. G. Saranya (EP) and Miss. Anitha (EP) gave a good presentation on the topic “Transfer of Property” which was useful for CS Exam.

The Second Seminar was given by Mr. Kathiravan (EP) on general topic “Share Trading Tips”, it was useful for fresher’s and he gave a clear view about pay attention to intraday trading activities on shares.

Miss. A. Kanchana (EP) gave away vote of thanks.

The meet was concluded with NATIONAL ANTHEM at 1.00 pm

Report on 14th Student Association Meet

Report on 14th Student Association Meet on 20th March, 2011

We the Student of Salem Chapter of ICSI and proud member of SACS-SALEM have organized the 14th Student Association meet on 20th March, 2011.

There was a pleasant morning on the Sunday. Students have participated in the meet.

The meeting started with Tamil Thai Valthu. Followed by Welcome address given by Ms. Saranya(EP), Special address given by CS Santhanam sir, Secretary of Salem Chapter of ICSI.

Mr. Nagakumar (PP) read out the brief report about association and minutes of previous meet.

Mr. Vijayanand (PP) gave seminar on the topic “Inter Corporate Loans “, it was an excellent presentation, he explained the topic in clear cut manner which will be useful for upcoming CS exams.

The Second seminar given by Mrs. Vimala (EP) on the topic “General view on Stock Exchange” it exhibits the general view about how stock exchanges carry out their work under the SEBI Act, 1992.

Ms. Monica (FP) gave away Vote of Thanks.

The meet was concluded with NATIONAL ANTHEM @ 1.00pm.
